Humeston Christian United Methodist Church

Humeston is a busy, small-town church, enjoying a usual worship attendance of 50 to 65. Some worshipers live in town. Others live nearby.

We fellowship together with LeRoy at times, and support each other’s ministries. You are welcome to visit and to freely explore to determine where you might find a niche in our parish community.

"Helping Hands" in Mission & Service

Helping Hands provides organization and servers at the Chamber's Watermelon Day Food Stand in July, a big event. The group also sponsors the Easter Breakfast, the Pool Party, the Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner, and the Community New Year’s Eve Party.

Trunk or Treat has moved from the church parking lot to Broad Street where it is held in cooperation with the First Baptist Church. The City of Humeston helps by directing traffic. Gifts for best trunks and best costumes have been sponsored by Snyder's, Grassroots, Piper's Candy, and Casey's.There is popcorn and hot chocolate.  Many people, young and old, attend and participate.

TUF Team and Youth Group

These youth organizations meet during the school year. TUF Team is for any child in grades 4 - 6. It meets after school the second and fourth Wednesdays each month after school. Older youngsters meet on Sunday evenings.
